DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Intensive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely/critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems. The ICU provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSCurrent unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS required.GSR ICU-CCU:AHA ACLS and TNCC required.PALS preferred.Previous ICU experience preferred.Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
