Hours of operation: Monday Friday; opens at 0545 until finish last case; usually at 1700; flexes with surgeon
Patient Population:
Adult interventional pain management procedures/18 years and older
o Hours of operation: M-F 0730 -1700 Average Daily Census: 40 Ratio is 1:3 Float required according to skill level; possibly to the 2 locations (Rancho Mirage & Palm Springs) No Weekends, No call, No holidays Unit Details: Procedural Unit with 10 bed pre/post, 2 procedure room, interventional pain management. 2/3 of cases are local, the rest are anesthesia. ACLS /BLS required, prefer pain management, PACU and/or OR nurse experience. 45 procedures/day; very busy. More of a procedures area (therefore the pain management/OR/PACU experience) Less of a typical outpatient clinic area EPIC Charting Required Certs: o ACLS, BLS 2 years minimum experience No first time travelers *Scrubs not provided - plain black scrubs with no emblems

This is a pain management procedural unit Special Procedures/Unit Details : Adult interventional pain management procedures for 18yo and older. Procedural Units (2 locations) with 8 bed pre/post and 2 procedure rooms. ACLS/BLS required. 45+procedures per day; very fast pace; time and task management skills are required. Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated.

: Only one extension is allowed and then the traveler must take the length of the original contract and extension combined off before being able to return to EMC as a traveler again. So, if they work a 13 week contract and then do one 13 week extension then the traveler must take 26 week off before they can return back to them as a traveler again.
Inpatient call of/on call policy:
Travelers may be called off OR placed on call once per pay period. If placed on call there is a 60 minute call back requirement.

6 hours of modules required for Allied specialties: OR Tech, GI Lab Tech, ENDO Tech, SPT, Anesthesia Tech, EP Tech, Cath Lab Tech, CVT, Scrub Tech, Radiology Tech

Submittal Details: #Tier2 Travel ComplianceRTO - should not exceed 7 days and MUST be submitted with profile; if not submitted in profile, it will not be approved. However, ICU will not approve more than 4 days off in a row and EDOSC OR will not allow for any time off. Travelers must work every other holiday but prefer 2/3 holidays or Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and NYE.
