Patient Diagnoses : This is a mixed acuity unit, but the travelers themselves are only required to have Med/Tele experience and are not assigned PCU pts.
How the unit works is if a pt needs PCU level of care, they flip the bed over to PCU and change the assignment. Overall, travelers will not be assigned PCU pts during their contract. Only Med/Tele.

Candidates who live within 70 miles from facility are considered locals. Locals are not accepted.
Subcontractor Agency Travelers will need to complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance - $22 agency cost. Clearance is required to be completed prior to start
Fit Testing: Travelers MUST shave for a mask to seal for Fit Testing.
CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and SSM will not allow travelers to use their own PAPRs or CAPRs at their facilities;
they do not accept medical or religious exemptions, no exceptions.
Failure to shave for FIT testing will result in a cancel
All clinicians (allied/CNAs/RNs, etc.) cannot work past 1 year as a traveler. A 6 month break must be taken in order to return as a traveler
