Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for nights or a mix of shifts based on department priorities. Shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period.
*Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
*First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Special Procedures/Unit Details 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Cares for patients that have true med surg issues

All candidates who are currently outside the state of Ohio but within driving distance will be required to drive to a fingerprinting location in Ohio as soon as possible after booking. Travelers who are extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet, which is to be completed urgently upon receipt. Detailed instructions will be sent to the candidate by the Credentialing team.

required. At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g., a supervisor). Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. No coworker references accepted.

Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission.
MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable.
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
