If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor Oncology experience preferred but not required Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units

All candidates who are currently outside the state of Ohio but within driving distance will be required to drive to a fingerprinting location in Ohio as soon as possible after booking. Travelers who are extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet, which is to be completed urgently upon receipt. Detailed instructions will be sent to the candidate by the Credentialing team.

Reference Requirements: 2 professional references are
required. At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g., a supervisor). Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. No coworker references accepted.
Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission.
MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable.
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
