PACU RN

PACU RN Start Date: 5/4/26 Contract length: 13 weeks Shift/Hours: This position is day position, however shifts vary ( 8 hours and ten hours - 07:00 - 17:30 and 07:00 - 15:30). The hours that the PACU is open are 0730-2030. The nurse could be scheduled for any time between the hours. License/certs: MD RN State LIC, ACLS, BLS, PALS Patient Age Range: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults

Holidays: required as they fall, as scheduled Weekends: every other weekend required Floating: required within the specialty, other units and sister SRH facilities within scope On-call: Required; Currently the days that the staff take call are Friday(1900-0700), Saturday(0700-0700) and Sunday(0700-0730) and 0700-1900 on holiday. The nurse would take call two shifts in a four week period, occasionally they take three.

Travelers are required to go in for their labs within 72 hours of signing their contract.

RTO must be included at time of initial submission, RTO cannot be changed or added once offered same for extensions, once requested it cannot be altered.

• should not exceed 7 days and if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week will be added on to the back end of the contract for new contracts. Most locations and units will allow for one major holiday off during the winter season, but please refer to the individual job posting for more specifics per job/unit.

Auto Offers If an auto offer is turned on for a unit/job the candidate must accept without an interview. We cannot go back and ask to interview after an auto offer is made.

Scheduling Restrictions Block schedule or schedule restrictions cannot be requested. Unit will try their best to accommodate but cannot be guaranteed and cannot be requested, however if approved it will not be included in writing in the offer.

Local rule: Locals under 50 miles are not allowed. Candidates permanent residence must be 50 miles or over from the hospital that they are submitting for.

Candidates will float within hospital travelers are first to float, Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests as long as it within their experience scope

Return Traveler Policy: Note if return traveler so we can run through staffing contact, candidate must be away for at least 6 months from the system

Return Staff Policy: Note if the traveler was formerly staff at the UMMS health system as well will check their eligibility to return. All former staff much be gone for 12 months before they can return as a traveler.

Extensions Most locations will allow for one contract and one extension and then the traveler must take a 6-month break before they can return to that facility/unit. In some cases, exceptions can be made but it is rare.
