Unit Overview 17 North Mixed Acuity is a Stepdown/PCU unit with 32 beds and an average daily census of 25 32 patients. The unit cares for patients with various medical diagnoses as well as pre- and post-surgical patients with mixed acuity, including PCU-level care.
Days: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM Schedule: 36 hours/week, every other weekend
Requirements 2 years of recent progressive care experience Experience with similar PCU/Stepdown patient populations Ability to float within the OSU organization as needed BLS and ACLS required NIHSS required Ohio license required First-time travelers accepted
Skills Preferred Candidates should have experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code teams, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line and PICC care, heparin protocols, respiratory support, wound care, and pre/post-surgical patient care.
