Weekend Hours: As required by facility Call Requirements: None Required Licensure: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.)
Required Certifications: BLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC
Preferred Certifications: Years of Experience: 2 years PICU, Vent competent
Float Requirements: Nurses will be expected to work in either the NICU, PICU, Pediatric medical floor or Peds ED as determined by patient volumes.

Hiring Profile:
Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years PICU, Vent Competent, must have at least 1 year post-orientation experience Preferred Skillset/Experience:
Type of Patients on Unit: Trauma, Burn, Neurosurgery, Pediatric surgery, Respiratory, Sepsis, Endocrinology, chronic/trach, Hematology/Oncology and orthro. Personality Fit: Looking for someone that has experience, flexible, and is a team player.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
