Weekend Hours: As required by facility Call Requirements: None Required Licensure: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.)
Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only, Must have 4 trauma credits OR must have them completed within the first two weeks from start, NIHSS (may be submitted without, but must obtain prior to start)
Preferred Certifications: ACLS from AHA only Years of Experience: 1 year tele Float Requirements: will float on a rotational basis

Number of Beds: 32 Patient Ratios: varies. Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:8 (estimates, not guarantees) Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry, lift equipment EMR: EPIC
Hiring Profile:
Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Tele, inpatient only; Experience and competence in drug titration. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Trauma, inpatient only Type of Patients on Unit: Specialty Surgery GI/GU/ENT/Urology Personality Fit: Calm demeanor, collaborator, and communicative

Blocked Scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements - must be listed on submission form
RTO must be made up on the back end. RTO will not be approved in the first week of assignment.
Holiday RTO can request only 1 per assignment
Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
